A really heavy topic 2012-06-08 ...The most natural line of enquiry that kids have about dinosaurs is weight. After all, a beast as big as a brontosaurus looks like they would have been plodded slowly across the landscape. A child, though, might want details, including how you know they were heavy if you didn't have a weight scale. To the probable delight of adults everywhere, researchers in the UK have figured out how much a dinosaur would have weighed... -------------- BTW, A new analysis confirms the widely held suspicion that DNA from dinosaurs and ancient insects trapped in amber cannot be recovered...
